In a house that old the dryer duct has usually moved with a remodel, and lint settles into the added turns first.
Winter in Pleasant Ridge moves the laundry indoors for good, and the dryer in an old basement runs hardest until spring. On Loaded the vent is cleared at the winter visit, through every turn a remodel added.
The schedule.
Once a year covers most houses. A long run with bends, or a laundry room on the second floor, wants it every six months. On Loaded it is done at the winter visit.
What the visit looks like.
The dryer comes away from the wall and the duct comes off its back. The whole run is cleared from the dryer to the outside wall, and the flap outside is checked to swing free with the dryer running. What the run looked like gets noted in the record.
