Grease collects under the grates where nobody looks, and that buildup is what flares when the lid comes up. A burner clogged with it heats unevenly, so half the grate sears and half barely cooks. One deep clean before the season clears both.
The schedule.
Once a year. Spring, before the first cookout, is the usual slot. Early fall works too for anyone who grills straight through a Michigan winter.
What the visit looks like.
The grates come out onto a drop cloth and the firebox is scraped down to the metal. The burners are cleared so the flame runs even, then it all goes back together and gets lit to check it.
While there.
The kitchen end of the same grease: the range hood can be degreased on the same visit. Add it to a plan visit; the full list and prices are in the plan.
One-time, or on a plan.
One-time is a single visit, no plan, charged after the work. On a plan is the lower price for plan holders, billed after the visit. Add the job when starting a plan and it is done during one of the four visits, with the cost spread across the monthly bill. Plans start at $— a month.
